John Snorri Sigurjónsson has started his trip to K2 Basecamp, which is the second highest mountain in the world and one of the hardest in the world to climb. Over the next 40 days he will try to reach the top of the mountain. Only 240 people have reached the top and no one for the past two years.
The first trip is a 63 km. walk, on the longest glacier in the world, it is likely that this walk will take seven to nine days. After that time, John Snorri and the group should be in K2, where they will be in a week before starting to set up lines at first stores.
