Icelandic mountaineer John Snorri Sigurjónsson is the first Icelander to climb the peak of Mount Lhotse. Mt. Lohtse is the fourth highest in the world at 8.516 metres high.
Climbing Lhotse is a part of his training before climbing K2 which he aims to climb in July. K2 is said to be the hardest mountain to climb.
Kári G.Schram is shooting a documentary about Sigurjónsson’s expeditions says that this is a great achievement for Icelanders. He himself just came back to Iceland after spending 10 days at base camp with John Snorri.
